About the artist
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Linda Eppinger Johnson was born and raised on the frontrange of the Rocky Mountains. The diverse ecosystem influenced her western and botanical paintings, pottery and tiles/murals.
Linda uses her own experiences when creating her art. Sagebrush, wildflowers and even horned toads are in the hills of her front yard and find their way into her paintings and pottery.
For over 43 years Linda has taught outreach art at Central Wyoming College, numerous workshops, community and challenged adults, high school and elementary art classes on the reservation. Linda is a roster artist with the Wyoming Arts Council and traveled to teach students in other areas of Wyoming.
Linda has won numerous awards throughout the nation including the Wyoming Game and Fish Conservation Stamp Contest Award, Governor's Capitol Art Show Purchase Awards, Women Artists of the West Award, and over 35 best of shows. Her paintings and pottery are in private collections in the United States and beyond.
